Legal Studies Society

The Legal Studies Society is a student-run organization for all students interested in legal studies. They participate in events & workshops that help prepare for law school, the LSAT exam, etc.

LSS routinely hosts events, meetings, study groups, and networking opportunities related to the legal field and admissions process.

Legal Studies Society is open to all students interested in the legal field, law school, and legal professions.

LSS Events & Resources

  • LSS & Mock Trial recently welcomed Mr. Wesley Clark, a MTSU political science alumnus and nationally recognized civil rights attorney whose work is featured in the 2023 award-winning investigative podcast, “The Kids of Rutherford County.” The speaker event was followed by a catered lunch in the Honors College.   • LSS & Mock Trial welcomed the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law, and Belmont University College of Law to MTSU’s campus in September – October.

Studying the the LSAT

LSS has started their LSAT study sessions! These are free and open to anyone who is interested in studying the LSAT, which is the exam to get into law school. The sessions are on Zoom every Wednesday and Sunday evening at 6:00PM.
